about
The second track on our self-titled EP out on June 10th.
lyrics
I told a lie that I thought was the truth; A speculation of mine, "equilibrium's impossible to find." These are things we never addressed, and now I'm forced to deal with thoughts I'd rather leave repressed, you might have guessed.
I felt the energy switching sides, could this be my demise? An introspective set of eyes that I saw proved I wasn't who I said I was at all. This isn't giving up, it's giving in to something that's been haunting me within; a letter on the table, laid across, reading "am I the only one you've double crossed?"
Let it burn. We've so much to learn. We could teach it all ourselves, if we ever thought it'd help.
We spoke in whispers outside of the ER the night that the news was delivered. You'll never feel that pain again, though I've felt it everyday since. I watched the tubes being pulled from your throat, and I heard your life fade as you choked. Such a gruesome lullaby, the worst way to tell someone goodnight.
Scenes from our old house fill my head. You're breaking down and drinking wine again. Inside your stories soon, I will be lost knowing I'm the only one I've double-crossed.
